My painting could be described as a composition with a tiled background of many circles from two large to two very minuscule circles arranged in a tessellating pattern. All the tiles seem to connect but some aren’t as fluid as the rest, leaving some gaps, which shows that I did this by hand. My digital portrait is of my fellow comrade sister Lisa. The person that I am painting is meaningful to me because she is my sister and I love to hang out with her everyday I can while she is awake. I decided to make a regal painting of her because she is a very important person to me, she has a lot of potential and could be a queen if she wanted to. My goals for this artwork was to paint my sister with a pattern of circles I saw in a video that looked cool. There was no real message I was trying to convey in this painting. What inspired my tile design was an image of a collection of circles in a very interesting pattern so i took the design and made it my own for this assignment. My overall thoughts about my work is that it is one of the best things I have made in art to date.

My digital portrait is of my brother, he has never been mentioned in one of my paintings so I decided to spend 24+ hours on something he's probably not going to appreciate. The painting is meaningful to me because it has been one of my longest paintings of anything or anyone I’ve drawn. It's the only person I’ve drawn ever so it's pretty meaningful. I didn't know what my parents would say if I drew them but I thought about my brother who was hesitant but said “ok”. That was it, I took the picture and started. My goals were to make it as close as possible to the actual image. I wanted to spend lots of time to actually make it look good. I don't know, I didn't really want to show off a message, but if I did it would be to appreciate your siblings more, sure they might be annoying but you should still appreciate them. All I really knew was that my brother liked the color yellow which is the color of the tile. I wasn't really inspired by anything to make the tile what it is. Throughout my work I would rate this a 8.5/10 on the Henry scale. I spent lots of time on it and I think it's one of the best work throughout my art career. It came out really nice and I love it.

My digital portrait is of me with a flowery background. The person that I painted for this project is myself because there have been times where I don’t feel like myself. This project ended up being meaningful for me because I was able to see myself differently. A message I was trying to convey is to love yourself and appreciate who you are. What inspired me to do this tile design was that flowers is something that I consider important. My abuela has a flower garden in Mexico. When I was little, a baby, my photo was regularly taken in her garden. My thoughts on this artwork is that I did what I wanted to do and I expressed myself throughout the tiled background as well as in my portrait.

My digital portrait is of my baby sister. The background is based mostly on how her feelings change over the day. She is my only sister and I love her a lot so I drew her. She’s also very angry at times and hits me so I did the emoji of an angry face at the background. My goals were to mostly make her as close to how she looks in real life as I could. Another thing I wanted was to see how she would look when I drew her; if it would look good or bad. My thoughts about this digital artwork is that it actually looked like a good digital artwork. Also that it looks really good and I tried a lot on it.
