Professional Development Resources

During the Fall of 2022, a few of our SMART Start participating teachers completed a 3-credit graduate course offered by NYIT:  Virtual Learning Applications.

The course provided candidates with a foundation in the conceptual rationale for virtual education delivery systems. Candidates explored web-based technologies for instructional delivery of online course content for K-12 virtual educational courses and programs.  Candidates adapted technology tools to accommodate differentiated learning needs and to facilitate interaction and discourse.  

For the turnkey workshops, teachers created an agenda, lesson materials and activities for their particular cohort in the Smart Start Grant. Below are links to materials that the teachers created. These resources are meant to be replicated and shared.
