New Braunfels ISD librarians present the 2nd annual Comic Con for ALL students in NBISD happening Tuesday, May 13, 2025 4:30-7PM at the McKenna Events Center.
What is a Comic Con? A comic book convention or comic con is a fan convention emphasizing comic books and comic book culture, in which comic book fans gather to meet creators, experts, and each other. We will have a gaming truck, activities, prize room, cosplay contest, authors, photo booths and much more!How does it work?Attendees will check in at the front of the McKenna Event Center welcome booth. They will get a wristband to let us know they've already checked in and can come in and out easier. They will also get a stamp card. They must visit at least 10 vendor booths to chat with the vendors or activity stations to complete the activity at the station to earn a stamp. Once they get 10 stamps, they can visit Prizetopia for a free book, toy, fidget, bracelet, candy, etc. They may do this as many times as they want. Last call for stamp cards will be at 6:45PM.Cosplay Contest Info:We will have a 3+years old-5th grade cosplay contest (dress up like your favorite superhero, manga/anime, comic book character, etc.) that starts at 5PM and one for secondary students (6th-12th) that starts at 5:30PM. Winners will receive a gift card!
