Attention Sophomores and Juniors

The Lion Chapter of the National Honor Society will be accepting applications for the 2025 – 2026 school year starting on Monday January 20th. NHS application materials can be accessed below.

NHS membership is based on four characteristics: Leadership, Service, Character, and Scholarship. Anyone who is interested in joining will need to demonstrate their commitment to these characteristics. To be considered, a candidate must have:

• At least two leadership experiences in academic, extracurricular, or employment settings, described in an essay.

• At least five service / volunteer experiences, documented in an essay.

• No office referrals and no violations of Academic Honesty.

• Not more than 2 "Not Met" disposition scores in the previous three years of school.

• An uncurved GPA of 3.600 or higher.

The NHS application form, two teacher recommendation forms, and the mentor/supervisor recommendation form must be submitted by February 14th, at 2:40 p.m.  Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
