Now that the Christmas season has finally arrived, it’s time to get into the Christmas spirit. A person doesn’t need to stress over finances to make the most of the holiday season. A good way to spend your holiday break is re-watching Christmas movies with your loved ones. An example of this would be watching the classics like Elf, the Home Alone series, or White Christmas with your favorite people while sipping hot chocolate. When it comes to presents, you don’t need to break your bank to show others you care. Use any artistic abilities you may have to your advantage. Making friends or family a home-made Christmas card is always a good option. If you have a few dollars to spare, checking out our local activities like Shore Acres park is also a great way to kick off the holiday season!!
The holiday spirit has hit North Bend, and students and teachers alike dressed up their doors to celebrate the season. The theme this year was "Destination Christmas." Flip through the pictures and decide which one you like best. Winners will be announced at the assembly on Friday!

For the past several weeks, our theater department here at NBHS has been working tirelessly on our fall production, Anne of Green Gables, a story adapted from L.M. Montgomery’s heartwarming novel and written for the stage by Alice Chadwicke.
The story follows Anne Shirley, a lovable orphan with a vivid imagination, who gets mistakenly sent to work at the Cuthbert’s farm, Green Gables, but is adopted by two middle-aged siblings. The sweet and lovable Matthew Cuthbert, who quickly becomes her kindred spirit, and his sister, Marilla Cuthbert, who, despite having a tough shell, has a tender heart deep down.
During her adventures at Green Gables, Anne meets many more people her age, like her new friend Diana Barry, the young gossip Josie Pye, the lugubrious Moody Spurgeon, and a wealthy lad named Gilbert Blythe.
You’re sure to enjoy this lovely and lighthearted classic that opens this Friday, November 22 and runs through Sunday, November 24 for one weekend only. Curtain time is 7 PM on Friday and Saturday and 2 PM for the Sunday matinee in the North Bend High School Multipurpose Room. Doors open half an hour before curtain and seats are first-come first-serve, so come early to get a good seat! Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors, and $5 for anybody with an activity sticker. There will be concessions and all proceeds go to our theater department to help fund future productions.
