Christmas is just around the corner, which means that seasonal wintry movies are being watched all around the world. Still, there's one movie that has everyone wondering if it fits into the Christmas movie theme, or if would be more appropriate to watch it for a different holiday. Since it aired in 1993, people have been wondering if The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas movie or a Halloween movie. Many people think that it is both, but there are two distinct opinions out there.
Why is The Nightmare Before Christmas a Christmas movie?
Many articles report that it has been confirmed that it is a Halloween movie but many people are still not convinced that it is. Of course, a good portion of the movie takes place on Christmas eve, and the main character, Jack Skelinton, becomes Santa is so he can ruin Christmas, which is a similar plot to the iconic christmas movie, How The Grinch Stole Christmas. The two movies share some themes, for instance, at the end Jack realizes christmas isn't so bad after all (like The Grinch), which is why people think it's a Christmas movie.
Why is The Nightmare Before Christmas a Halloween movie?
There are some of the elements that make it a Halloween movie are the fact that the setting is in a place called Halloween Town, and it is also animated by Tim Burton, who is well known for his eerie animation and direction style. It has also been confirmed by the director that it is a Halloween movie, but there will almost always be people arguing that it's a Christmas movie.
In conclusion, The Nightmare Before Christmas is indeed a Halloween movie, but is absolutely acceptable to watch in December.

This Christmas is going to be very different then usual, we all know that. But what you get your loved ones, or specifically your little loved ones. Whether they’re your little brother or cousin or friend, get them something that has endless entertainment.
There are a lot of cool toys and such, video games, Legos, and much more. Usually you want to try and find something that will appeal to them, and there are ways to do that. If they have a big imagination and lot’s of creativity, things that are buildable and changeable are a great idea.
If they want a technology challenge, find a video game for their console, of course talk to said persons parents if the game is okay with them. The amount of gift ideas and different people are way too much to explain each match, but the whole point is to get your loved one something they’ll enjoy and you will feel good giving them a good gift.
