EVERY adult in the building must take a health screener before entering (this includes parents and staff). These screeners may be accessed by scanning the QR code on each entrance.

Students will be eating lunch in the gym and the cafeteria to allow for greater social distancing. Disposable lunch items are encouraged.

Drinking Fountains
Drinking Fountains
Students are encouraged to bring their own refillable or disposable water bottles. Drinking fountains will not be in use for sanitary purposes. We have installed new water bottle filling stations for students to utilize. This is a fantastic upgrade for the safety of our students!

Class sizes have been lowered to be able to distance students. Spaces have been used creatively and efficiently to make sure that students are as spaced as possible.

Student Movement
Students will have many opportunities throughout the day to MOVE. We will be having outdoor recess whenever possible. Creative Movement and Physical Education will be outdoors when possible, but also have great indoor spaces that allow movement too. We are utilizing all large areas to make sure that our students have the opportunity to be active throughout the day.

Every teacher has been provided by the district everything that they need to keep our students as safe as possible. This includes items such as gloves, antibacterial hand soap, masks, face shields, and disinfectant spray. Staff have also had several hours of training on health and safety practices and protocols.

Every student and staff member of NBAS will be issued a reusable/washable Bronco mask. Students may use other masks as well, but all will receive one. Masks are required in all common spaces - hallways, busses, walking club, etc.

Recess
Students will stay with their class (cohort) during recess. They will be assigned a space of the playground and that space will change daily. Equipment will be disinfected between classes and those using the play structures will sanitize before and after.

Any staff that will be outside helping children, including those at recess, will be clothes in a safety vest so that students can identify them quickly.

Mrs. Patty Laur will be with us exclusively this year! She will be there throughout the day to help us with anything that arises. Having a nurse in our building most of the day will be a wonderful asset to keeping our students and staff safe.

Each student will be receiving a BREAK-AWAY lanyard to keep his/her mask on while they are at recess/lunch and in the hall. This will make it easily accessible at all times.
