Orienteering

WHAT IS THE ORIENTEERING TEAM?

The orienteering team is comprised of the most adventures cadets in the unit. Orienteering itself is a outdoor sport of running while navigating with a detailed map and compass to find a series of checkpoints ("controls"). The controls are scattered on the map and must be done in a specific order. It's a race about who figures out the best route and who finishes the fastest time possible. Cadets will also be able to compete and participate in annual, regional or national competitions.
