Whether you plan to arrive a day or 2 early or stay past the Jamboree, we are happy to help you find more fun adventures here in Colorado. The list below is just some suggestions. All optional activities will be on your own but we are working to arrange Group Rates/Group Times. Please let the planning committee know which events you are interested in so we can help you make plans!
Horseback Riding
Join us Sunday afternoon for a horseback ride from Jackson Stables on the YMCA grounds into Rocky Mountain National Park. The Livery offers LOTS of rides, including pony rides, which you could enjoy at other times during your visit, but this is the ride we are considering as a group. Please pay your $20 deposit on the Navigators USA Jamboree Store to reserve your spot.
- Sunday, August 4 @ 4:15 - 5:15 pm (3:45pm checkin): DEER MEADOWS: A 1-hour trail ride that follows Glacier Creek to the Wind River area. Beginner level ride, appropriate for children & first time riders.

- Group Rates for 18 or more riders purchased in advance ($10 off)
- Deposit of $20 pp due ASAP to hold spot. Remainder of balance due May 31, 2019.

RMNP & White Water Rafting
Enjoy a FULL DAY of exploring RMNP and white-water rafting with Rapid Transit Rafting
- Leave from Estes Park for an early morning drive (via air-conditioned coach) over scenic Trail Ridge Road through beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved road in the United States. We'll take you up to 12,183 feet for spectacular views and cross the continental divide to the western slope.
- Enjoy 4-5 hours (12 miles) of moderate (class II and III) white water rafting on the Colorado River (suitable for the first time and experienced rafters.)
- Includes a riverside picnic lunch.
- $120/person. Must be 7+ and over 50#
NOTE: Due to limitations in Insurance, you are required to reserve & pay for rafting as a Family.
Fishing & Fly Fishing
Join us Monday Morning from 8 am - 12 pm for a Guided Family Fishing Trip with Sasquatch Fly Fishing.
- $45 / person for 13 and older (plus license $9.00 for anyone 16 and over)
- $35 / person for 12 and younger (snacks included for kids)
- All gear and flies are provided. Kids under 12 will spin fish - but still have waders for them to use.
What to bring: extra clothing (pants, sweatshirt, and socks), raingear (poncho or waterproof jacket), sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, tip for the guide.
