About Me

As of September, 2019, I am the OES Technology Integration Specialist at OES. I began my career in education as a technology educator and integration specialist in Windham, NH in 2002. I love working with all learners and view technology as a means of creative expression! Prior to my start in education technology, I was software engineer in the private sector. I was involved in all phases of software integration in state-of-the-art warehouse and factory automation projects in the aerospace industry.

I possess an Education Specialist (Ed. S) degree from Simmons College (2013) in the Assistive Technology Special Education. I hold a Master of Science degree from Northeastern University in Information Systems. I earned my BA from the State University of New York College at Buffalo (Magna Cum Laude), where my concentration was Psychology and I minored in Art Therapy.

I have been a long time lover of the arts. My minor in college was Art Therapy. I began my formal training in visual arts as an undergraduate and I continue to take art classes locally in Barnstable and in Boston. Most recently I have been working in pastel and oils, but I also have experience with drawing, acrylic, gouache, and watercolors. I love traditional/folk arts of all types including quilting, sewing, cross stitch, and physical scrapbooking. I love digital arts including video creating/editing (including green screen), laser cutting design with CorelDraw, photography/photo editing, animation, and digital scrapbooking. I frequently attend art show and exhibits to see what others are doing and for inspiration.

I love to travel! I've had the good fortune to travel to many places in the world, in the US and beyond. I've had many adventures and a few misadventures! One of my favorite adventures was in 2014, when my family and I had the opportunity to walk the Camino de Santiago, a 450 mile trek through northern Spain.

And YES! I am proudly sporting my Slytherin House scarf at Platform 9 3/4! My husband is a Gryffindor as is our daughter and 1 son. Our youngest son is a Hufflepuff.

I am a big sports fan! I love to watch lacrosse and hockey in person and on TV. I am a fair weather Patriots fan. I am a novice rower and stay in shape by running and walking long distances.
