Accepting Applications: Recovery Outreach Specialist

The Recovery Outreach Specialist position is responsible for providing information and walkthrough of social services to assist individuals in active substance use access basic needs services, harm reduction, and recovery support.

Qualified applicants should have a Recovery Coach certification from the Connecticut Community For Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Recovery Coach Academy, Advocacy Unlimited Inc. Recovery Support Specialist Training and Certification program, or equivalent program and certification. Service support includes individual follow-up with people post-overdose, general community outreach, and continuing education in the recovery/social services field. This is a grant-funded position contingent on ongoing funding (currently 4 years available). Hours are part-time up to 25 hours per week.
