Naugatuck Public Schools fosters the belief that learning happens best when students are engaged in relevant, authentic learning experiences. Decades of research confirms that learning is a social act and students learn best from one another. Our classrooms implement a curriculum that sets students up to examine, explore, analyze, evaluate, synthesize and critically think about what they are learning through primary documents, secondary sources, phenomena and novel situations, to name a few. Our students inquire, question, challenge, create, and make sense of complex ideas and concepts through authentic experiences with their peers.
