About
Bringing together community and technology to build resilience in Hopi/Tewa Youth.
The Qöyangnuptu Project is a four (4) year project funded by the National Science Foundation's Smart and Connected Communities Program.
This project has been growing since 2018, starting at Northern Arizona University and forming partnerships with Hopi Behavioral Health Services, Arizona State University, and Southcentral Foundation along the way. Inspired by the sun rising to bring light to each new day, our project uses the Hopi word, qöyangnuptu (dawning).
Our project integrates four components to support resilience and mental wellness for Hopi/Tewa youth.
