NAU Kayettes

Our Purpose

As a community service organization, the NAU Kayettes promote goodwill, unity, and school spirit among its members, students at Northern Arizona University, and the entire Flagstaff community.

The Kayettes have a rich history at NAU. The volunteer-based group was founded in 1967 by six strong and passionate women who wanted to be a part of something bigger than themselves and give back to the campus and Flagstaff communities.

Now more than five decades later, our members continue to enjoy many of the group's original traditions and service projects, while continually pursuing new opportunities to help others and bring a sense of spirit and pride to the campus and local community. We are present in NAU's traditions such as Homecoming week, and continue to reinforce our motto of spirit, service, smile not only to ourselves, but to those around us as well.

The group is made up of current NAU students, and has traditionally been all women—although anyone who has a GPA of 2.75 or higher and is at least a second-semester freshman is eligible to participate in our recruitment events each spring.
