The course meets 3 times a week, with an additional hour of web work you complete on your own time.
The second part of the course (POR 212) will be offered in the Spring of 2023.
NAU now offers Brazilian Portuguese.
We offer the following:
Fall 2023: First-year Brazilian Portuguese (POR 112)
Covers the equivalent of the first 2 semesters of other foreign languages (example, SPA 101 + SPA 102)
Spring 2024: Second-year Brazilian Portuguese (POR 212)
Covers the equivalent of the third and fourth semesters of other foreign languages (example, SPA 201 + SPA 202)
- The program is open to any NAU student.
- The student who has had success in the courses fall into one of these categories:
Is someone who is passionate about languages in general. (Motivation counts!)
Knows Spanish (even if you never studied Spanish formally) or has studied other foreign languages, like French, Italian, etc.
- And, of course, you may be particularly interested if you want to know more about Brazilian language and culture. Why study Portuguese?
