I saw the marbles on your dust traps. Why are they there?

Reheis and Kihl (1995) from the United States Geological Survey developed this method. The great surface area of marbles allows for the capture of fine particulate matter, dust; marbles simulate an alluvial environment.

How has volcanic dust and other tephra influenced deposition in the varved-core from Columbine Lake, Colorado?

The objective of this project does not currently have that as an objective. However,  eruptions like Sunset Crater in 1085 CE fit into the scope of this project's timeline.
