Smart Boards
SmartBoard is the brand name for an interactive white board. The use of a SmartBoard or any other branded electronic whiteboard in the classroom gives unlimited possibilities for teachers and students. Before the pandemic, the interactive white boards were limited to specific classrooms within only some schools, but the advantages for students whose teachers had access to them made a clear and significant difference in the learning outcomes of students. During the pandemic, the numerous uses and advantages became obvious.
While the Smartboard is too large to move or be considered portable, it does amazing things to enhance student interaction in person and remotely.

Uses for Instruction
In person students can:
· Explore the internet for interactive programs and then play them
· Search for information
· Type documents
· Complete worksheets on PDF, Word Docs, Excel, or most other Office Formats
· White board feature still present so students can draw their own images, make up their own problems, and share them with classmates.
· An extra benefit to an interactive white board is the ability to save all the information for later reference.
Students who are remote can:
· Observe the lesson while it’s being taught
· Review previous lessons that were saved from the Smart Board
· The teacher can share a remote student’s document, make notes with the student’s participation
