What is AZIRSA?

AZIRSA is a non-profit branch of NIRSA, specifically for member institutions located in the state of Arizona. Our mission is to promote the efforts of NIRSA throughout the state of Arizona, by providing recreational professionals with up-to-date news on conferences, jobs, and networking opportunities regional and nationwide.

Why Workshops?

State Workshops allow for recreational professionals to come together, idea share and establish best practices within our programs. These workshops are an affordable and centrally located networking event that augments the larger national or regional conferences. These events create synergy among local institutions and provide diverse opportunities for all attendees.

Purpose of involvement

Volunteering in NIRSA gives professionals an opportunity to give back and further promote our growing profession. Most NIRSA stories originate from a mentor pouring their knowledge, time, and effort into someone else and these conferences/workshops give us a chance to do so in turn. As we all progress in our careers, we have a responsibility to continue working together and sharing knowledge in an effort to improve both the profession and the lives of those we impact in our programs. It’s our responsibility to lend a helping hand to those who choose to follow.
