All students are enrolled in an enrichment class. This is an opportunity for students to participate in enriching activities such as art, sports, graphic design, gardening, world languages and more. Enrichment options change each semester.

2026-2027 Enrichment Course Descriptions
World Languages: Bonjour, Hola, Ciao! Do you enjoy K-Pop, Banda, or music/shows in other languages? Join us in World Languages, where we will look at different languages and learn a little more about them. This is a chance to explore and test your skills with the unique and fun words, and accents used all around the world. We will be creating products, singing, practicing some dances, and overall enjoying the variety we find in the world around us.
Art and Imagination: Let your creativity soar in Art and Imagination! Come explore different artistic styles, such as graphite, line work, optical illusion art, comics and characters, still life, and self-portraits. You will also get the opportunity to develop your own style. You will walk away from the class with a personal portfolio and an understanding of art as a whole. Come have fun in a relaxed environment and explore your imagination!
Graphic Design: When you think of the most famous brands and companies in the world, what do you think of? Do you think of their fonts, logos and color patterns? Graphic design is more than making something look good. It is a powerful tool that combines text, color, and pictures to create memorable art. In this course, you will learn how to use platforms such as Canva and Photoshop to create your own unique designs. Let's create and inspire!
Gardening: Welcome to Gardening Enrichment! Get ready for messy, hands-on fun as we learn about seasonal crops, how to turn food scraps into nutrient-rich soil, and how to care for succulents. From compost competitions to propagation stations, there is always a project in the works in our Gardening Enrichment.
Volleyball: Get ready to serve, set, and spike your way through an exciting volleyball class! Students will learn fundamental skills such as passing, serving, setting, and teamwork through fun drills and engaging games. Whether you're new to volleyball or looking to improve your skills, this class provides a supportive environment to build confidence, stay active, and make new friends. Come join the action and discover why volleyball is one of the most exciting team sports around!
Dance: Come join in for some introductory dance enrichment. We will explore the foundations of jazz, hip hop, and modern and cultural dance. You will have the chance to learn the basics of moving to the rhythm and choreographing small dances.
Sports: Join Sports to participate in games that are popular around the world. Some games that we will be playing are soccer, basketball, handball, ultimate frisbee, kickball, and more! Each sport will be broken down into learning and training activities to better understand how the sport is played. We will also hold mini-tournaments to compete in that sport. All athletic and competitive levels are welcome!
Chess: Pirate’s Gambit: Do you love strategy games, or challenges that make you think in new ways? If so, then chess might be the next challenge for you! In this enrichment course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of chess: from how each piece moves to the strategies players use to outsmart their opponents. We’ll also explore some basic opening principles, how to spot checkmates on the chess board, how to plan several moves ahead, and so much more. Whether you’re brand new to the game or a seasoned chess player, this enrichment will help you grow where you are while having fun at the same time. Through friendly matches, mini-games, and all sorts of challenges, you’ll be able to be part of a supportive chess-playing community here at NP3. Come sharpen your mind, build your confidence, and learn a game that you can enjoy for life!
Serenity Studio: A calming enrichment class designed to help students relax, recharge, and practice mindfulness in a peaceful, low-tech environment. Students will explore meditation, breathing exercises, gratitude journaling, nature walks, calming music, and hands-on activities like Play-Doh, puzzles, coloring, and creative relaxation projects. This class encourages self-awareness, stress relief, focus, and positive well-being while providing a quiet space to slow down and reset during the school day.
Model UN: In Model UN, you'll investigate global issues, engage in spirited debates, and work collaboratively. Represent a country and tackle real-world problems in dynamic simulations, enhancing your strategic thinking and negotiation skills. MUN broadens your perspective, preparing you to be an informed global citizen. Collaborate with fellow students, lead committees, and drive discussions towards consensus. MUN fosters teamwork, leadership, and a supportive community.
Helping Hands: A project-based enrichment class where students plan events and organize drives to support their local community. In this course, students will work together to identify meaningful ways to celebrate their peers, teachers, and community members. Projects may include fundraising events, appreciation gifts, donation drives, and community service initiatives. Students will develop communication and problem-solving skills while making a positive impact as a leader.
Animal Science: Love animals? Curious about what it takes to care for pets, farm animals, and ranch animals? In Animal Science Enrichment, students will explore the exciting world of animal care through hands-on activities, fun challenges, and real-life skills. Learn how to properly care for dogs, cats, horses, exotic pets, and more while discovering what animals need to stay healthy and happy.
Engineering Adventures: Do you like a challenge? How about some friendly competition? Then "Engineering Adventures" may be just what you're looking for. We will be building bridges, creating tin foil boats, racing our aerodynamic car models, and reaching the skies with our towers made from household items. We will also learn about how different materials and designs contribute to a well-made product.
Card Games & Strategy: In this enrichment class, students will learn and play a variety of fun card games while developing important academic and social skills. Through strategy, teamwork, probability, critical thinking, and problem solving, students will practice making decisions, thinking ahead, and adapting to new challenges. Students will also build communication skills, sportsmanship, and creativity as they learn new games, compete in friendly tournaments, and even design their own games. Whether students are experienced players or brand new to card games, this class is designed to be engaging, social, and fun for everyone. Students will learn and play games such as Spades, Rummy, Spoons, Uno, and Blackjack.
Lego Robotics: Have you ever just wanted to sit down and play with blocks at school? Well, this class will have you doing more than that. Put your mind to the test with Lego Robotics. This class will have you designing, building, and coding your very own LEGO robots. You will combine motors and sensors with LEGO blocks to complete tasks, challenges, and even battle your friends. Let's build together!
