Hello Everyone! My name is Ernestine LaPlante and I am the K-5th Music Teacher here at NP3 Elementary! This is my 2nd year at NP3, but I have also taught at Merryhill Natomas Elementary School and at St. HOPE Public School 7. This school year, I cannot wait to bring our students back together to learn how to perform as an ensemble through creativity, craft and discipline in Music. 

When I am not teaching, I am a mom to my son (who was named after an electric guitar), wife, and performer in many live stage productions, as well as an anthem singer for various sports teams including the Sacramento Kings, Savannah Bananas, San Jose Sharks, Oakland Athletics, San Francisco Giants, and San Jose Earthquakes!

A fun fact about me is because of my singing career, I was noticed by the Nickelodeon network and was given many opportunities to perform around the world as a backup singer to Tom Kenny, best known as the voice of SpongeBob Squarepants! I look forward to meeting you and your students this upcoming school year and cannot wait to create some harmony during our musical time together!
