Mr. Maes is the Band Director at Jefferson School and has been teaching in the Performing Arts for over 10 years. He graduated from the University of the Pacific, Conservatory of Music in Stockton, CA with his Bachelor’s Degree and Credential in Music Education. His Teaching Philosophy revolves around student centered learning, education through music and performance, and leading with love and passion for music making and student safety. Mr. Maes, and his wife Mrs. Maes, are the parents of four fur-babies, Coda, Lunar, Solar, and Espresso. When Mr. Maes isn’t working with Musicians, he is probably playing music himself, writing music, or spending time with his family playing video games.
