About Mrs. Rojas

Hello! My name is Tarynn Rojas and I am so excited to start this new school year with you and your super scholar . After graduating from Pacific Union College in 2012, I taught 4th grade, 2nd grade, became a reading interventionist and also taught K-5 technology. This is now my 14th year of teaching and my eighth year at Star Academy. I couldn't be more excited to start another year in 4th grade!

I grew up in Hollister, CA and moved to the Napa Valley for college. I started my teaching career in the Napa Valley at Calistoga Elementary for two years. I moved to Sacramento after marrying my husband and taught at Aspire Capitol Heights Academy. Now, I have roots at Star Academy where my oldest son Noah attended from Kinder to 5th grade. He is now in 8th grade at Leading Edge. My middle son Nathan is in 2nd grade at Star Academy and my youngest son, Niko, attends daycare. He will soon join Star in two short years (Woohoo!)

My husband and I try to keep up with our happy, energetic boys, who keep us on our toes, along our dog Lola.  We spend our free time outdoors, playing sports, running, bike riding or hanging out by the river. The students will hear many stories about my family, siblings and adventures throughout the school year. They become some of our funniest memories and inside jokes throughout our time together.
