About Me

My name is Sarah Castillo and I am so excited to teach your kindergarten student at Star Academy this year!

More About Me:

I was born and raised in Elk Grove, CA. I received my B.S. in Human Development from UC Davis in 2017, my teaching credential in 2018, and then went on to get an M.A. in Education in 2019. This will be my fifth year teaching kindergarten at Star Academy and I love it! I have worked with kids of all ages through volunteering in different classrooms and programs, but I love the joy and excitement for learning that kindergarteners bring to school. I strive to help my students be responsible, kind, and creative while learning and having fun!

Drink: Vanilla Latte with Soy Milk (I'm vegan)
Favorite Vegan Snacks: Golden Oreos, Sour Patch Kids, Popcorn
Stores: Target and Amazon
Place: Disneyland (I love anything Disney!)
Sports Team: Sacramento Kings
Hobbies: Painting, Playing Ukulele, Watching Movies
