About Mrs. Griffin

Hello! My name is Ané Griffin and this is my 8th year in teaching, second year at STAR, and my second year teaching 2nd grade! Previously, I taught 1st grade for 4 years and 3rd grade for 2 years. I started my teaching career in Kansas, where I graduated from a small private college with my BA in Elementary Education. I taught out there for 2 years post graduation, before moving back home to Sacramento, CA where I was born and raised. I grew up as a runner, running Track and Field and Cross Country from elementary school all throughout college, which is what brought me to Kansas.

In my free time, I like to read, hang out with my husband and dog, and go on walks/jogs. I am very excited for this new school year and love being a part of the STAR family!
