~ Reflections ~
Describe your first trimester at Leading Edge in this space.
- Include your memories such as friends, sports, events, field trips, etc.
- Also include memories from classes, projects, etc.
- This should be in a proper paragraph format with correct spelling and grammar. (About 8-10 detailed sentences minimum).

- What are your goals for the next trimester? Name at least two.
- Also, describe what you will need to do to reach them.
~ My Work ~
You'll be highlighting at least 5-7 examples of your actual work from this trimester. For each:
- Insert the piece of work (examples: insert website link to blog post or padlet, insert writing piece using "From Drive", pictures/screenshots use "Images").
- Describe the piece of work (what was the assignment or what were you learning about).
- Explain how each piece of work connects to the Leading Edge pillars (one or more).
Make sure your pieces show work from as many different courses as possible--at least 3 different subjects. Remember, each piece of work must be set in the settings to "Anyone with the link can view."
1. Apples Artwork
In Expressions, we made artwork that focused on apples. (We will pretend this is mine though we all know it's the amazing artwork of Te'a's from Jaden's wonderful blog post.) We used different types of media to express our apples. Mine used collage of images and another used oil pastels.
LE Pillars: This piece shows creative problem solving because each art piece is unique. Even though we were given the same topic, we had to show it in a variety of ways that made the outcomes each an original.
2. Science Museum Fieldtrip Reflection
We wrote reflections on our trip to the Lawrence Hall of Science Museum and inserted pictures and hyperlinks to extra information. This piece (we'll pretend it is by me) has many details and is formatted nicely.
LE Pillars: This shows both Tech Savvy in the document design and Collaboration when it talks about how I had to work together with other students in the hydraulics engineering lab.
3. Schoology "In the News" Discussion Post (above)
In October, we used Newsela to find an article about a current topic and write a summary about it in Schoology. I choose to read and write about the planned Mars Missions. We also read the posts of classmates and replied to what they had wrote.
LE Pillars: This assignment shows the critical thinking pillar because I had to think about why the topic was important. I said the planned Mars missions could have a vast impact on humanity because our planet it overpopulated.
Note: Your portfolio should have more pieces of work (3 minimum but 5-7 is ideal). This is just an example. ;)
