Our robot!
This is our robot! We used the bob bob chassis design and many modular attachments!
We are trying to increase publicity of Worcester's history and archeologic findings related to Worcester. Here you can find some 3D scans of artifacts found in the Worcester Historical Museum and some info on them. Please explore and learn about Worcester's history!
This is our first 3D scan. It is what we used as a test when we got popeyes together while staying late. This is not a historical artifact, just our first try at 3D scanning that we wanted to share.
First candlepin
First 10’’ candlepin by Justin White, sometimes referred to as Candlestick bowling. (1878)
Loom Shuttle
Worcester inventor George Compton was born into the family business: inventing, building, and developing looms. His father, William, invented the first powered “fancy loom.”
Fancy looms were used to create fabrics with ornate patterns. George took his father’s invention and improved it. After exhibiting his looms at the Paris and philadelphia expositions, Crompton’s design became the standard machinery for making highly decorated fabrics.
These artifacts are all from the Worcester Historical Museum, they have these and many other parts of Worcester's history on display.
