Homebound Ministry

Nativity is committed to providing care for those who

cannot join us for worship on Sunday mornings.

Recording Ministry

Sermons from Sunday worship service are recorded and made available through the website (here), or by email (here). Additionally, for those who are unable to worship with us on Sunday morning, we make available electronic versions of our worship bulletin (here).

Home Communion Ministry

Members of this ministry take Communion to Nativity members who are home-bound or are in care facilities. This ministry is offered on at least two Sundays every month. Training is provided for those interested in taking part in this ministry. Additionally, Communion can be provided as one component of pastoral visitation if it is desired.

Visitation Ministry

We believe one aspect of our ministry together is bringing the presence of Christ with us to those who cannot join us in worship. In order to accomplish this, our goal is to make sure each of these members is visited by one of our care ministries on a monthly basis at minimum. Demands do not always allow for visitation with one of the pastors, yet we rejoice that in our Baptisms, all are made ministers through Christ! Therefore, it is our hope that each homebound member would have contact with more than one of our care ministries, in addition to the pastors when possible. Specific individual visitation or pastoral needs can be requested (here).
