Purpose of Assessment

The ACT Test is designed to assess a high school student's readiness for college. It provides universities and colleges with a standardized data point to compare college applicants. 

The ACT Test measures a student's skills in five core areas:

The score range for each test is 1-36. A Composite score is also reported, which is the average of the four test scores rounded to the nearest number and it also has a range of 1-36.
