She is not your rehab - A movement launched in Matt Brown's 2019 TEDx talk, The Barbershop Where Men Go to Heal, She Is Not Your Rehab encourages men to confront childhood trauma and take responsibility for their healing to break cycles of violence. Peace Talks - A couple of mums, Sally and Jorinde who support parents to move beyond overwhelm and into peaceful, easy relationships with their children using the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), integrating perspectives from psychology and neuroscience. A great resource for families keen to communicate and connect with their children and loved ones, with options for online learning and 1:1 coaching.
BrainHug - An advocacy and consulting service with a mission to make emotional safety approachable by offering tools, insights, and support that help people understand, manage, and embrace their emotions. Their website and Facebook page offer some practical resources that can be useful to better understand and support children navigating stress, anxiety, and building emotional resilience.
Trauma Responsive Education Aotearoa - Karina Schreurs is a Trauma Consusltant with a background in Therapy in Education and has post-graduate study in Neuroscience. She is passionate about empowering educators with practical strategies to see stress reduced in classrooms and offers practical strategies and resources that facilitate change to build into each day. Her priority is first and foremost the well-being of tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau and setting up communities so that everyone can succeed.
Just a thought - A fabulous website with free resources that are focused on better understanding and supporting personal mental health and wellbeing, as well as free courses on specific mental health issues. While the courses are based on CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) when paired alongside somatic, body up approaches, they can be a valuable tool for supporting yourself and your mental health on your journey towards self healing.
Whāraurau - Whāraurau is the national centre for workforce development for the infant, child, and adolescent mental health and addictions sector. They offer some valuable resources and online courses/webinars that can be accessed by professionals and the community.
Te Pou - An organisation that works alongside mental health and addiction services to understand their priorities and workforce challenges, and provides a national centre for mental health, addiction and disability workforce development in New Zealand. They provide relevant knowledge, resources, training, and information through the various projects they undertake which are freely available on their website.

Caring Families Aotearoa - Caring Families Aotearoa support caregivers and foster families to learn better ways of caring for children in protection.
