Who Are We?
Animaleer is a student-run, nonprofit organization striving towards supporting animal communities through the help of passionate high school students. By encouraging Animaleer clubs in schools and communities across the nation, we hope to build a community for young animal lovers. The name “Animaleer” also comes from the suffix “-eer,” meaning someone who is associated with or concerned about a certain topic or activity--in this case, animals. As leaders of Animaleer, we truly believe in the greatest well-being for animals, and we'll never stop advocating for a brighter future for our animals!
Our Story
As rising high school students attending North Allegheny School District, we uncovered a lack of support for our local animal community. We decided to start an Animaleer Club to support and bring awareness to our animal community. Then we thought, "What about others?" Through more research, we realized that the animal community was not only ignored by our school, but also by many schools across the country. We wanted to help support animal communities all around the country through the help of other high school students. As advocates for the animal community, we decided to take action. We devised a program that allowed other high school students to help lead and improve their own animal communities by starting similar clubs in individual chapters, and Animaleer was born.
Take the first step in your community.
Our mission is to help support and bring awareness to animal communities worldwide.
We envision a bridge between students' passion for helping animals and the animal community. Together, we hope to bring animal welfare support into our local conversations and eventually, expand Animaleer chapters to many other regions. We do not ask for people to give luxury items to animal shelters, but rather the hearts and caring personalities of each and every one of you as we support these animals together!
Working together, we can impact animal lives. Let's help the animal community as a team.
We provide volunteer opportunities for students across local animal shelters.
We help support the animal community through gifts and advocacy of animal-related issues.
We raise money for animal communities through monthly fundraising events and donations.
