About me

Professional Information

This is my 26th year in education. I began working as a School Counselor in 2013. I serve as counselor for freshmen, sophomore, juniors, and seniors alphabetically M-Z. I also teach psychology.

I began my teaching career here at Nashville High School and taught for 16 years before becoming one of the school counselors. In the past, I taught Psychology, Intro to Social Sciences, Government, and World Cultures A and B. I am also certified to teach Geography, History, Economics, Sociology, and Anthropology. I am now also in the classroom for part of the day to teach Psychology I and II.

I attended and graduated from Okawville High School ('93), Kaskaskia College ('95), McKendree College (Bachelors in Social Science Education, '97), and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (Masters in Educational Psychology - School Counseling, '01)

In 2008, I completed National Board of Professional Teaching Standards Certification (NBPTS) to becomes a National Board Certified Teacher in Adolescent and Young Adult Social Science - History.

I have also taken 16 hours in post-masters degree courses from Rockford College.

Personal Information

I have been married to my husband, Brian, since 1998. We have two children, Brooklyne and Brance.
