Year 5 visit Kew Gardens
On Tuesday, the children spent a wonderful day exploring the diverse plants and flowers from various continents at Kew Gardens. They took part in a special workshop, enthusiastically sharing their knowledge on how plants reproduce, impressing staff with their curiosity. The amazing glass houses, home to some incredible species, provided a unique opportunity to experience different ecosystems. Walking through these lush environments gave us a real sense of what it might be like to venture through a rainforest. It was a day filled with learning which was very much enjoyed despite some tired legs by the end!
Fizzwhizzing adventures with Year 2
Year 2 had an exciting day exploring the world of Roald Dahl at his museum in Great Missenden.
The children learned all about the renowned author's early life, uncovering fascinating stories and inspirations behind his works. They then honed their writing skills in an engaging editing workshop, discovering tips and tricks to make their own stories shine.
The day ended on a high note with a fun-filled visit to the park, leaving the children with smiles and wonderful memories!
Football Update
On Monday we had a friendly game v Lime Walk. This was the first time the team had played together and it was great to see them put their skills to the test. Lime Walk scored first but Nash Mills pressed on. After a good spell of possession, the ball was passed through to Rosie who slotted it home to make it 1-1. Lime Walk had a very quick striker who had numerous shots, but our defenders, Ollie and Hayden, ensured he didn't score any more and it ended in a draw. The players did really well, encouraging each other the whole game and we are very proud of their performance.
Congratulations to....
Kamran for acheiving Grade 3, and Theo for Grade 2 - both on acoustic guitar. We have a thriving musical community in school and it's fantastic to share their success, well done!
The Big Questions in RE!
This week, pupils in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 were joined by Mother Alice who came to discuss their developing views around the things that they have learnt in RE. Within the subject, over the past year we have been working to increase the number of opportunities that pupils have to ask difficult questions and to be able to challenge each other well.
Particular highlights from this week's visit included Year 3's discussion around how Christianity might have been different if the events of Easter week hadn't happened, and Year 6, who discussed whether Jesus may have had a wider family.
It was fantastic hearing the children being so respectful of each other's ideas and also seeing how much knowledge that they have gained in RE this term.

Did you know...? Hearing the voices of loved ones releases hormones in our bodies that help us to feel good and safe.
This weekend marks Mothering Sunday. Being a parent can be one of the most difficult jobs in the world and it can sometimes feel that there is little thanks for all that you do. However this week take some time to celebrate the unconditional, unforgetting love that we get from those around us. Remember how important you are to the children in your lives and how you make them feel good and safe just by being there.
And whatever you get up to this weekend, we hope that some of you get a cup of tea or breakfast in bed on Sunday morning!
