Year 6 become Code Breakers!
On our class trip to Bletchley Park, we had the amazing chance to visit the special huts where the codebreakers worked in secret to crack enemy codes. We also explored the big Mansion, which was their main headquarters during World War II. Walking through these important places made us feel like we were stepping into history! One of the best parts of the trip was trying out the Enigma machine simulator.
We got to pretend we were real codebreakers, solving tricky puzzles—it was so fun and exciting!
Rapid Fire Cricket
On Tuesday, Mrs Lewis and Miss Bentley took 8 children from Y4 to the Hertfordshire county finals for a rapid fire cricket event. The children showed great skills, resilience and teamwork in a very competitive event. The children had a lot of fun and came 8th overall. We are so proud of you!
Football Update
Nash Mills Football team were given a home quarter final against Hammond Academy on Tuesday afternoon. An extremely tight first half ended 0 - 0 with neither team really having a shot on goal. This was truly a game of 2 halves! Nash Mills opened the scoring early in the second half when Alfie's shot was parried by the goalkeeper into Dylan's path who slotted home for 1 - 0, from that point on Nash Mills didn't look back as they gained confidence and played some fantastic football to round out the game with a 7 - 0 victory! The other quarter finals had to be played this week so we await news of our semi-final opponent. Goals from Dylan x 4, Jacob x 2 and Henry.

In worship today we looked at the story 'Can I join your club?'. During the story, Duck asks a number of animals if he can play with them and is told 'no' because they are not the same as each other. We thought about how fortunate we are to have people to play with and how, in our school, we try to recognise that each person is special, rather than focus on how they are different.
We are so lucky to have so many amazing people around us. Take some time to think about how you are special and all the brilliant things you bring. How can you use these skills this weekend?
