What does it mean to be a Digital Citizen?


Digital Citizenship - The norms of appropriate, responsible behavior with regard to technology use.


Digital Footprint - The information about a particular person that exists on the Internet as a result of their online activity.


Copyright - A law that protects a creator’s ownership of and control over the work he or she creates, requiring other people to get the creator’s permission before they copy, share, or perform that creative work. Creative works include: writing, artwork, photos, videos &music.


Fair Use - (in US copyright law) the doctrine that brief excerpts of copyright material may, under certain circumstances, be quoted verbatim for purposes such as criticism, news reporting, teaching, and research, without the need for permission from or payment to the copyright holder.


Cyber safety - the safe and responsible use of Information and Communication technologies.


Cyberbullying - the use of electronic communication to bully a person, typically by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature.
