For those of you who don't know me, I am obsessed with green screen. It has brought my lessons to a whole new level. I am constantly passing on the green screen love. We use DoInk to create our green screen pictures and videos. It sadly is only available on Apple products. It costs $2.99.
I love to introduce coding. It can be taught at any level with the fantastic tools that are available now. Robot Mouse creates mazes where you need to program the mouse to get to the cheese. This is a great introductory tool to teach the basics of coding.
Now that we are a Google district, we have access to all of the amazing tools that Google has to offer. Google Slides is a presentation tool that can be used in a multitude of ways. Ask your 4th and 5th grade students about our Choose Your Own Adventure project!
Read and Write is a Google Chrome extension. Once downloaded, it will stay in your tool bar waiting for you to use it. It has a long list of features that help with reading and understanding writing. Some of these features include having the article read back to you, creating vocab lists, accessing a dictionary, and highlighting a passage.
