Each student has a planner where they will record homework daily. You can usually expect a weekly spelling packet and a daily math sheet Monday-Thursday.
Math:
Math homework is assigned Monday-Thursday. Math homework should be returned the next morning.Â
Spelling:
Spelling homework is assigned every Monday. The spelling packet is due on the Thursday of that week. We will have a test on Friday.
Daily Practice:
Students should try to make time to read every day at home. This can be completed independently or with someone else. I recommend 20 minutes of reading each night!
By third grade, students are expected to know their addition and subtraction facts. By the end of the year, they should also know their multiplication facts (1-10). Practicing these each night is very helpful!
Projects:
Throughout the year, students will complete book reports and other projects, which will be assigned with plenty of notice!
