In Massachusetts, if you are fully vaccinated, you can resume activities that you did prior to the pandemic. Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance. All air passengers- 2 years or older – are required to present a negative COVID-19 viral test result, within a time period based on their vaccination status or present documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the last 90 days. Air passengers will also be required to confirm in the form of an attestation that the information they present is true.
What You Need to Know
With specific exceptions, noncitizens who have been in certain countries during the past 14 days may not enter the United States as immigrants. For more information, visit Travelers Prohibited from Entry to the United States.
If you are not vaccinated and not up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines, it is recommended that you get tested with a viral test (no more than 3 days) before your trip.
Before boarding a flight to return to the United States
Everyone is required to show a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 1 day before travel.
Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms for 14 days upon return.
Keep students home, isolate and get tested if any symptoms develop.

Not fully vaccinated: In addition to the above recommendations
Stay home and self-quarantine for a full 5 days after travel, even if you test negative at 3-5 days.
If you don’t get tested, stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after travel.
If you recovered from a documented COVID-19 infection within the past 90 days (regardless of vaccination status), you do NOT need to get a test 3-5 days after travel. You also do not need to self-quarantine after travel. If you develop COVID-19 symptoms after travel, isolate and consult with a healthcare provider for testing recommendations.
Fully vaccinated:
After Travel
Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms for 14 days upon return.
Keep students home, isolate and get tested if any symptoms develop.
If your test is positive, isolate yourself to protect others from getting infected.
When in doubt, keep them out!"
You do NOT need to get tested or self-quarantine if you are fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 3 months.
Not Fully Vaccinated:
Before you travel:
Get tested with a viral test no more than 3 days before your trip.
After you travel:
Get tested with a viral test 3-5 days after travel AND stay home and self-quarantine for a full 5 days after travel even if you test negative.
If your test is positive, isolate yourself to protect others from getting infected.
Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms for 10 days upon return.
Keep students home, isolate and get tested if any symptoms develop.
