What is plagiarism?

According to the Naples Senior High Research Manual, plagiarism is when you do not give proper credit to the author, which allows people to believe that it was your original thought. This is a form of CHEATING!! Remember changing a word here or there is NOT enough to make it your own work!!

***Whenever you use another’s thoughts, words or ideas YOU MUST cite the author or source of the information****

• Warning!! Plagiarism is a form of cheating. The paper should be written in your own words, and the sources of your information must be properly documented according to the used in class model. DO NOT COPY verbatim from any source unless you plan to use it as a direct quote in your paper. If you don’t understand this, ASK your teacher or Mrs. Betrus!
