This is my 13th year at Naples Junior/Senior High School. I worked with the 7th grade team for many years, and for the last few years I have been working with grades 10, 11, and 12, as well. I love co-teaching with my partner teachers and enjoy watching our students grow into young adults. I graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2003 with my Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. I then continued my professional development at St. John Fisher College where I earned a Masters Degree in Teaching Students with Disabilities, Biology 7-12. I am certified to teach Students with Disabilities grades 1-6 and 7-12. I also carry certification in General Science grades 7-9, as well as Biology grades 7-12. Since then, I have attended many professional development opportunities that have advanced my teaching practices.
I am married and have three wonderful daughters. I also own an old farm that has been in the family since the 1940's. I love teaching, and feel that being a mom has furthered my teaching. I treat each one of my students as if they were my own child. My students are important to me and to the future. I believe that as a high school teacher, we prepare young adults, not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well.
