The James H. Rice Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship offers financial assistance and recognition to high school seniors in the counties of Ontario, Seneca, and Yates. The scholarships are designed to assist graduating seniors in pursuing a post-secondary education in any state at an accredited institution which provides a two or four year college program. The scholarship may be used for any bona fide school related expense such as tuition, fees, books, and room and board.
This scholarship requires the student to be a 2026 graduate from any one of the fifteen public high schools in the counties of Ontario, Seneca, or Yates, possess a minimum of an 87 GPA during their high school career, complete an application, and provide two letters of reference.
There will be a minimum of two scholarships awarded in the amount of $1,000 each.
Applicants need not have a Masonic connection, nor does race, creed, religion, color, sex or national origin have any bearing in the selecion process. Recipients are selected after completing the comprehensive written application.

Thompson Health Guild Scholarship
The Thompson Health Guild is pleased to announce the availability of up to six (6) scholarships, each valued at $2,000, for eligible high school seniors. To qualify, students must be enrolled for their entire senior year in a high school located in the Thompson Health System service area. Eligible school districts in the Thompson Health System are: Bloomfield, Canandaigua, Geneva, Honeoye, Honeoye Falls-Lima, Livonia, Marcus Whitman, Midlakes, Mynderse, Naples, Newark, Palmyra-Macedon, Penn Yan, Red Jacket, Victor, and Waterloo.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit to graduating seniors who plan to enroll in any accredited university, college, or proprietary school offering post-secondary education in a healthcare-related field. Award recipients are not restricted to New York State institutions. A list of eligible healthcare areas of study is included below for your reference.
Scholarship funds will be distributed in January 2027 following the recipient’s successful completion of their first semester of college and confirmation of intent to continue studies in a health-related field. Prior to payment, recipients must submit documentation verifying fall semester grades and registration and payment for the second semester. Scholarship payments will be made directly to the student.

Hearing Loss Association of America--Rochester Chapter
These scholarships are awarded by the Hearing Loss Association of America, Rochester Chapter, in the amount of $1,500 each to be awarded to Greater Rochester area high school seniors with hearing loss who are pursuing post-secondary education or vocational training. The scholarship was established in 1996 thanks to a generous and ongoing contribution from J. Stuart and Phyllis MacDonald and continues to be funded by donations from present and past members.
Recipients must have applied to enter their first year of postsecondary education or vocational training and be between the ages of 17 and 20. They must have a documented hearing loss. Financial need is not a consideration. The scholarship is a one-time award.
Scholarships will be presented at an event on May 14, 2026, held on zoom.
2026 SAGES Advancement in
Agricultural Studies Scholarship
The Student Association of the Geneva Experiment Station (SAGES) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Advancement in Agricultural Studies Scholarship. Members of SAGES include graduate students, postdoctoral associates, and research technicians at Cornell Agritech (formerly NYS Agricultural Experiment Station). The Advancement in Agricultural Studies Scholarship was established as a way to give back to local communities, help support interest in agricultural studies, and nurture future professionals.
SAGES established this scholarship in 2009, and since then has awarded $19,250 to local high school seniors who have shown leadership in the classroom, in their communities, and who have expressed a desire to pursue higher education in agriculture-related fields of study. SAGES hopes to build upon this legacy by offering a $750 scholarship for up to 2 deserving students from the Class of 2026.
The scholarship committee will accept applications from graduating seniors. Eligible applicants must be residents or attend high school in the following counties: Ontario, Yates, Seneca, Tompkins, Cayuga, Schuyler, and Wayne.
Successful applicants must be graduating high school seniors who intend to enroll in a 2 or 4-year degree program in the agricultural sciences or an agriculturally-related field (examples are listed on the application). Eligible students can obtain application materials by emailing the chair of the SAGES Scholarship Committee, Allison Jane Hamilton (ajh382@cornell.edu), or from their high school guidance counselor. Applications are due by April 15, 2026 and winner(s) will be notified by the end of May.
Reliant Credit Union's Donald K. Rhine Scholarship
To be considered, an applicant must:
Be a Reliant member.
Be a high school senior, a full-time college/university student, or an adult, and be enrolled as a full-time college/university student in the 2026-2027 school year.
Demonstrate the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.”
Play an active role in the community through community service.
Demonstrate high achievement in academic performance and activities.
Complete the application, required essay, and letter of reference, and obtain the required transcripts.

Scholarship Paid: After completion of the course or at least 8 weeks attendance within 12 months of the award.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a female high school graduating student living in Ontario County who is continuing education
Be accepted at a college or institute of higher learning or other accredited education program
Demonstrate community/volunteer involvement
Complete a personal statement about how women can ensure independence and how receiving this scholarship will help you achieve your goals
Demonstrate some level of financial need
Submit completed application by the deadline
FLACE Goodsell Memorial Scholarship Fund
Information for Applicants
The FLACE Goodsell Memorial Fund was established by Harriett M. Goodsell pursuant to her Will
datedAugust9, 1911. Mrs. Goodsell established the fund with the intention and hope "that it will
permanently do the most good to the greatest number of people..." Mrs. Goodsell directed that
the fund be used for three specific areas of interest:
1. The Goodsell Educational Fund is to be used for the education ofyoung men and young
women who are worthy of such assistance, of good character and not addicted to the use
of cigarettes, tobacco or liqu o r.
2. The Goodsell Temperance Fund is to be used for temperance and the annihilation and
overthrow of the liquor traffic in the County of Ontario and in support of organizations
most in need of support for these purposes.
3. The Goodsell Christian Aid Fund is to be used for the aid comfort and relief of that class of
persons who by reason of age, sickness or other circumstances, making it right and
proper that they should receive assistance, all of which persons shall at the time of such
aid or assistance reside in the County of Ontario.
FLACE is looking for students who fulfill the purpose outlined in number "L." above for
2020. Appticants wishing to receive consideration for funds available from this Scholarship
program are asked to complete and submit the enclosed Application.
To be eligible for the FLACE Goodsell Memorial Scholarship, the Applicant must:
o Meet the criteria outlined in number "1." above
o Reside in Ontario County
. Complete and submit a typed written application. Applications must be postmarked
no laterthan Friday April 17th,2026. Handwritten applications will notbe accepted.
. Include any relevant information requested by the FLACE Advisory Committee.
. Use the scholarship to help defray expenses for attending a two or four year college.
