Hi, I am Mrs. Northrop!  I am looking forward to a wonderful school year with my students.  Families, I look forward to working with you as a team to help your child have a successful year.

I enjoy reading, hiking, kayaking, swimming, camping, and the warm sunshine.  This summer I traveled cross-country on Route 66!  It was amazing!

Sometimes you may see or hear me being called Mrs. Cass-Northrop; because that is my full last name.  To make it a bit easier though, I prefer to be called Mrs. Northrop.  My first name, Kayc, is pronounced “Casey.”  I grew up in Naples and continue to live here with my husband, Adam, our 2 cats, Midnight and Luna, and our new puppy, Icculus.  We have 1 son, Nate, who is an adult and off on his own now.  This year will be my 22nd year of teaching.  This is my second year teaching 2nd grade.  Before that, I was a Kindergarten teacher in Naples for 12 years.  I taught elementary special education before that.
