The Special Olympics basketball program practices at Fox Bowl in Wheaton from February through April, and competes in regional and state tournaments in the summer.
Required equipment - bowling ball and bowling shoes (can be rented at the bowling alley) or if you have your own you can bring them as well.
Practice: We typically on Thursdays (Feb 6 - April 24) Practice usually runs from 5:00-6:00pm. We practice on Thursdays so the athletes who are doing both bowling and track can be at both of their practices. Track is usually on Monday's and Wednesday's.
Regional Tournament at Stardust Bowl in Addison, IL - Saturday October 24, 2026 (This will be for this past seasons (2026) regional tournament. Special Olympics hasn't put out the other dates yet). I will have that date after this coming season 2027. If your athlete wins gold at the regional tournament they will be able to participate in the State tournament which will be Sunday Dec 13, 2026 @ Stardust Bowl in Addison, IL.
