Handle the Pi with care and ask first if you are unsure of something!
Save your files to SD card (include your name in the file name) & backup your files on your Drive.
Leave the Pi and breadboard flat on a surface when powered on.
"Ground" yourself before touching the Pi or electrical components by giving your partner a high-five or touching bare metal (a non-coated metal surface).
Shutdown the Pi before disconnecting the power to avoid corrupting the SD card.
Disconnect the T-Cobbler from the breadboard when finished for the day (to save your work and prepare for the next class).
Keep your Pi kit organized and return all components when finished with them. There is an inventory list on the inside cover for reference.
Tell the teacher immediately if something breaks or is not working. You will not be in trouble - we just need to know so that other student's learning is not interrupted.
Directly touch the circuit board if at all possible, especially the exposed GPIO pins.
Remove the microSD Card from the SD card slot.
Use the 5v GPIO pins unless you know what you are doing (only use the 3v one for the tutorial!).
Disconnect the T-Cobbler from the GPIO pins on the Raspberry Pi.
Disconnect any cables into or out of your KVM switch, monitor, or tower (ask if you need help).
Cause a 'short' in your circuit. Avoid this by being careful and precise with your connections and not allowing any components to touch unintentionally.
