Reserving Books
Students will reserve books by using our on-line library catalog or by completing a google form (see below for more instructions)
Ms. Shallcross & Ms. Carr will have books ready for families to pick-up on Mondays at:
Mondays 7:30-8:30am
*If these times do not work for you, please contact Ms. Carr at KaCarr@naperville203.org to arrange for an alternative pick-up.
Curbside Pick Up
When your child's books are available for pick-up, you will receive an email. (Please make sure that your email information is up to date in infinite campus.)
When you receive the email that your child's books are ready, you may come to collect your child's books at either of the Monday pick-up windows.
Curbside Pick-Up will take place in Lot B, on the east side of the building. Please follow this traffic flow.
Our staff will be wearing face-masks and gloves during curbside pick up.
Please have your child's name on a large sheet of paper visible in your windshield.
Upon pulling up, please open up your trunk and we will place your books inside your trunk . (Please note, families with more than 1 student at Meadow Glens will be given all their materials at once)
How to Return Books
Your student may keep his/her books for up to 3 weeks.
Please return books when you are coming to pick up new books.
Place returned books in a plastic bag & place them in your trunk.
We will remove them when we put your new books check-outs in.
Staff will have quarantine bins at curbside pick-up to collect your returned library materials.
You may also return books at the bin in front of the main entrance at any time.
All returned library materials will be quarantined for at least 4 days before being available for check-out.
Please complete this Google Form with your child to help us select books for check-out.
Students will use our Meadow Glens OPAC to reserve books.
Students must log-in to be able to place reserves. (Students in grades 3-5 have been taught how to log in to our on-line catalog) If your student is having trouble logging in, please email Ms. Shallcross at sshallcross@naperville203.org
Students can, and are, encouraged to reserve up to 5 books at a time to help us locate at least 2-3 books they are interested in reading.
Students who would like Ms. Shallcross or Ms. Carr to help find a book have been shown how to reserve one our Librarian Choice Books. When a student reserves one of these books, Ms. Shallcross or Ms. Carr will pick out a book in that genre that we think your child will enjoy reading.
Your child also has access to two ebook/audio book platforms through Meadow Glens: Myon & Epic
Myon can be accessed on both Ipads and Chromebooks
Your child may need to take an interest questionnaire before being able to access all of the books on this app. Once you complete the questionnaire, you should not have to take it again.

All returned materials will be quarantined for a minimum of 4 days, or within current IDPH, CC, and Naperville CUSD203 guidelines.
LC staff will adhere to all IDPH, CDC, and Naperville CUSD203 guidelines in regards to handling of LC materials.
