Naperville School District 203 offers students an authentic, collaborative entrepreneurship experience with the class FACS mxINCedu Entrepreneurship, which is offered as an elective (exploratory option) in each of the district's junior high schools. In this 12-week (trimester) class, eighth grade students become entrepreneurs by evaluating the world around them and identifying a problem to solve. Students will brainstorm, develop, market, pitch, evaluate, and create iterations of their product as they work through the design process. Entrepreneurs and business experts serve as volunteer mentors and judges, guiding student teams through the process.
