2025/3/24-28に国立天文台三鷹で開催されたワークショップ「Wide-field AO for Astronomy and Astrophysics」は、豪日交流基金の支援を受けて開催されました。ワークショップ期間中の3月26日には、豪州大使館のスタッフを交えた懇談会が開催され、ULTIMATEにおける日豪協力、そしてその将来などについて、さまざまな視点から活発な意見交換が行われました。

The workshop "Wide-field AO for Astronomy and Astrophysics", held at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (Mitaka) from March 24–28, 2025, was supported by the Australia-Japan Foundation. On March 26, a special meeting was held with staff from the Australian Embassy in Japan, where participants exchanged ideas on current and future Australia–Japan collaboration within the ULTIMATE project and beyond. 

2025/3/24-28の5日間、国立天文台三鷹でワークショップ「Wide-field AO for Astronomy and Astrophysics」が開催されました。オーストラリア、日本からの参加者を中心に、補償光学開発をリードする約60名が参加し、補償光学技術の歴史と、ULTIMATEを含むこれからの補償光学について広く議論が交わされました。

The five-day workshop "Wide-field AO for Astronomy and Astrophysics" was held at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (Mitaka) from March 24–28, 2025. Bringing together around 60 leading researchers in adaptive optics from Australia, Japan, and some others, the workshop provided an opportunity to broadly discuss the past, present, and future (including ULTIMATE) of adaptive optics technology. 

2024年7月28日、大分県大分市のJ:COMホルトホール大分において、一般講演会「最新天文学が解き明かす宇宙の謎」が開催されました。国立天文台の吉田道利副台長、NASAのJason Rhodes氏、そしてULTIMATEのプロジェクトサイエンティストである小山佑世が登壇し、宇宙の魅力を語りました。夏休みの親子連れなど130名以上が参加し、大変盛り上がりました。

On July 28, 2024, a public talk titled "Unraveling the Mysteries of the Universe with Cutting-Edge Astronomy" was held at J:COM Horuto Hall Oita in Oita City. Speakers included Dr. Michitoshi Yoshida, Deputy Director General of NAOJ, Dr. Jason Rhodes from NASA, and Dr. Yusei Koyama, Project Scientist for ULTIMATE. The event attracted over 130 attendees, including many families, and was lively and engaging. 

近赤外線広視野宇宙探査をキーワードに研究者交流を行う日本学術振興会の研究拠点形成事業(通称SUPER-IRNET)が主催する国際研究会「The Second SUPER-IRNET Workshop: Sparkling Our Collaboration at the Cosmic Gate」が大分県別府市のビーコンプラザで開催されました。約120名が参加し、ULTIMATEを含む次世代の広視野近赤外線宇宙探査に向けて議論が行われました。

From July 23 to 26, 2024, the international workshop "The Second SUPER-IRNET Workshop: Sparkling Our Collaboration at the Cosmic Gate" was held at B-Con Plaza in Beppu, Oita. Organized by SUPER-IRNET, a research network supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), the event brought together around 120 researchers. Participants engaged in discussions on next-generation wide-field near-infrared surveys, including the ULTIMATE project.
