NAMI Indiana's Mental Health and Criminal Justice Summit will be held at the Indianapolis Marriott North on Friday, March 10, 2023. Each year, NAMI Indiana pulls together a diverse group of leaders from the criminal justice field to provide education and new tools for professionals. The Mental Health and Criminal Justice Summit creates significant and positive changes in policies within Indiana's criminal justice system.

Plenary Sessions:

  • Indiana 988 Implementation Update

This plenary session will update the audience on Indiana's 988 implementation from members of the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction’s 988 Planning Team. Team members will present on the work of Indiana’s 988 core area planning committees, collaborations between 988 and 911, how 988 will fit into Indiana’s larger crisis continuum, and the funding strategies being explored to build and sustain it.

  • Wellness & Self-Care for Law Enforcement, First Responders, Public Safety and Criminal Justice Professionals

Dr. Will Miller is one of the country’s leading authorities on stress reduction and life balance. Attendees at NAMI Indiana’s 19th annual Mental Health and Criminal Justice Summit will take away a solid message about what gets in the way of living a life of personal and career well-being. Unlike standard, simplistic motivational speeches that feel good in the moment, Will’s content is grounded in solid psychological and sociological science and research.

Continuing Education for Professionals

Registration to the Summit includes continuing education credits (5.5 hours of ILEA for law enforcement; 5.5 hours of CEU for L.S.W., L.C.S.W., L.M.F.T., L.M.H.C., L.A.C, and L.C.A.C.; 2.5 hours CLE and 2.5 hours NLS for a total of 5.0 credit hours for attorneys), access to all plenary sessions, workshops, all exhibitors in our virtual exhibitor hall, as well as networking opportunities and gamification challenges.
