I founded ArtherapyHQ in 2018 based on my own healing journey. Starting up in the Bronx, I faced everything from domestic violence to workplace harassment—and the relentless grind of NYC work-life. But I was lucky.
I came from a family of artists and had access to healing long before I had language for it. Whether it was belting out Broadway ballads, playing Schumann on the piano, painting vision boards, or dancing to house music in the underground scene, art saved me—again and again. I’d text my dance partner, “I just need to sweat,” when life felt like too much.
ArtherapyHQ is the culmination of that life—as an artist, an educator in uptown public schools and universities, and a technologist always fighting for the underdog.
This platform exists so that others don’t have to wait for healing. Everyone deserves access to verified, trauma-informed, and culturally resonant care. And they deserve it now.
I hope you will join us.
