FIRST ever Story Telling Event at Naim Street Mall

6 October 2018 |Bintulu

A total of 20 families have turned up for a storytelling event hosted by Naim Street Mall recently as it was the first of its kind to be organised at Naim Bintulu Paragon.

Organised by one of our tenants, The Ark Reading Room, the program was meant to help parents inculcate the love for reading and reduce exposures to TV, computers and mobile devices as it is said to have adverse effect on children’s overall well being. According to a research by American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), excessive screen time will affect the child’s cognitive and language development.

“This is also the reason why we decided to do our part in cultivating healthy learning habits such as reading and encourage both parents and children to reduce screen time and bond over fun activities like games instead,” explained Mr Hong, founder and owner of The Ark Reading Room.
