About Department

The department of Philosophy is consisted of one Assistant Professor and five State Aided College Teachers.

The faculty provide crucial attempt to guide the students so that they can follow instructions and obtain good results in the examination. In order to aggrandize the self confidence if the students, the department organizes debate programs, collaborative sessions. Special lectures are arranged by the department to acquaint the students with quality instructions. Educational trips are organized by the department to give all round exposure to the students.

Departmental Activities:

  • 2015-16- Special lecture given by Prof. Deepak kr. Bagchi of K.N College, Dept. of Philosophy, Murshidabad.

  • 2019- State Level Seminar titled "Understanding Tagore: Philosophical and Literary perspectives" Organized by Dept. of Philosophy, English and Bengali on 2nd December, 2019.

  • 2020- International webinar on “Exploration of the Nature of Dharma in the light of the Mahabharata and Dhammapada” organized by the Department of philosophy and the Department of Sanskrit on 20th August, 2020.
